About Swagga

Swagga Dance Academy was founded by Lauren Jenkins in 2012 with the aim to provide affordable dance and exercise classes readily accessible for all ages and abilities. Experienced in both performing and teaching the Swagga team offer tutoring that is enjoyable and passionate in their own purpose built studios. The school is fully insured for students and all of our staff either hold professional dance teacher qualifications. Our staff are first aid trained, KCC chaperones and DBS checked. The team are continuously expanding their knowledge of dance and exercise by participating in workshops and courses which in turn enables them to provide fresh and up to date movement in classes. At our academy students will be taught by experienced, talented, and friendly professional dancers. Our unique approach to teaching aims to give students enjoyable yet productive sessions that encourage them to develop their own styles. We pride ourselves on our professional standards, a passion for dance and our high quality of teaching for all ages and abilities. Our dance classes are run in a friendly and fun environment where you will make new friends, get fit and improve your dance skills. All good dancers need to posses balance, timing, rhythm and orientation to space, skills that we are able to provide. We aim to build confidence and self esteem in all of our classes. Students will have the option to complete graded vocational and medal test dance examinations and compete should they wish to. Every year we hold our summer show and our end of year awards performance. Our students also have the opportunity to perform on some of the worlds most prestigious stages such as The Royal Albert Hall and Her Majesty’s Theatre.
